[TRIGGER WARNING: Suicide, Cancer]

On SNS, Jiang Zhihao broke down and revealed his thoughts of ending his life, after being told he only has 3 months to live.

Earlier in 2021, Jiang Zhihao made his name familiar in the Chinese music scene after he joined Season 3 of the audition show, "Youth With You."

After the show, he established loyal fans and started communicating with them through SNS including Weibo.

However, he suddenly vanished in August 2022 until he returned in March 2023 to bring the sad news that he's been fighting late-stage lung cancer.

Recently on Weibo, he broke down once again and revealed that his condition has recently worsened and the cancer cells have metastasized to the meninges. He's currently hospitalized and was even told he only has 3 months to live, then suffering both physical and mental pain.

He drew concerns when he said:

"I want to end everything."

Seeing this, fans were heartbroken and have been showing their support financially and emotionally.

On Weibo, he said:

"Hello, I'm Jiang Zhihao. I've been missing for a while now. Thank you for your interest and support. I'm sorry to disappoint you.

I've been thinking about it for a long time, and I've decided to talk to you about my reality.

I am very pessimistic. Meningeal metastases have repeatedly recurred and worsened. Brain tumors have also become multiple. I often have headaches and I want to end everything.

My mobility is slowly getting worse. No matter financially, It’s already unbearable mentally."

The most regrettable part is that Jiang Zhihao didn't even smoke or drink that much when he developed cough symptoms during the early days, he just glossed it over as a simple inflammation of the throat.

At the time, he was pursuing his dream of becoming an idol by training under Youhug Entertainment, but he had to end this dream when he realized the seriousness of his disease.

He was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer and although he actively sought treatment, the hospital was unable to match the speed of cancer cell expansion.

He said that he is now confused about how to treat him in the future. During this period, he has been holding back from getting checked out, imagining in his heart that he can return to his normal life.

"I have never wanted to admit that this is my ending, but after seeing this beautiful world and all the beautiful things around me, I really don’t want to give up so easily.

I have really been tortured since I was ill for 20 months."

In 2017, Jiang's mother passed away from cancer (breast), the same disease that is eating him away. He continued that he didn't want to give up yet and asked for fans for support and to join him in his battle.

"My mother lost, but my mother definitely doesn't want me to lose!

Please help me. I want to try it again. If I can't do it alone, I hope you can lend me your strength and fight side by side with me in this final battle!"

The 27-year-old idol trainee is currently receiving treatment in the hospital and is working hard to fight cancer. He is also seeking either financial or moral support.
